The Flag of Ukraine

Free

The National Flag of Ukraine is a simple yet powerful horizontal bicolor, consisting of two equal bands of blue and yellow. It is a symbol of national identity, resilience, and the country's rich agricultural heritage.

Design and Layout

Top Stripe: A bold, horizontal band of azure blue.

Bottom Stripe: A bright, horizontal band of golden yellow.

The colours of the Ukrainian flag are deeply rooted in the landscape of the country, which is often referred to as the "breadbasket of Europe."

The Blue: Represents the vast, clear blue skies that stretch over the Ukrainian landscape. It symbolizes peace, the sky, and the streams of the country.

The Yellow: Represents the golden wheat fields (or sunflowers) that flourish under that blue sky. It symbolizes the richness of the earth, prosperity, and the hard work of the Ukrainian people.

Together, the flag creates a literal representation of the Ukrainian horizon—where the golden fields meet the blue sky.

Today, it is a globally recognized symbol of sovereignty, freedom, and national pride
